The CTE Web Security Engineering Team at Navy Federal Credit Union is dedicated to maintaining and managing the Secure Web Gateway traffic, which is crucial for minimizing the organization's exposure to unintentional or malicious breaches of critical and sensitive data. As a Summer Associate, you will play a vital role in the SD-WAN/SSE project, specifically focusing on the deployment of the Palo Alto SaSE solution across the NFCU Enterprise. This position involves a variety of responsibilities, including assisting with the creation of rules and security policies, supporting users who submit incidents, documenting processes, and reviewing logs to identify potential enhancements. In this role, you will assist with the architecture, design, and deployment of the Palo Alto Strata Cloud Manager product, ensuring its maintenance and integration with other cybersecurity solutions. You will act as a liaison between clients and Palo Alto Support, engaging in the technical design of solutions based on specific use cases and business requirements. Participation in proof of concepts and technical evaluations of various technologies and designs will be essential, as you will provide recommendations based on your findings. Your responsibilities will also include supporting the development of cybersecurity requirements, design and architecture artifacts, plans, and policies. You will help define security development and testing efforts, implementing security controls across networking devices, databases, operating systems, and hardware and software components. Understanding and integrating cybersecurity development activities will be crucial, as will performing analysis on cybersecurity data and test results. You will be part of a team that designs, protects, and manages security services for the company's global security infrastructure. Strong written, oral, and presentation skills are necessary, as you will need to communicate highly technical concepts to a diverse audience, ranging from non-technical individuals to executive-level technical decision-makers. Collaboration with IT administrators and executive-level stakeholders will be key to understanding their requirements and positioning our tools to meet those needs. Self-motivation and a willingness to work collaboratively are essential traits for success in this role.
