About The Position

Philadelphia Insurance Companies, a member of the Tokio Marine Group, designs, markets and underwrites commercial property/casualty and professional liability insurance products for select industries. We have been in operation since 1962 and are nationally recognized as a member of Ward's Top 50 and rated A++ by A.M.Best. The Summer Associates Program is PHLYs exclusive internship experience. It will require students to think critically about the daily responsibilities of an insurance professional. You will learn the ins and outs of the internal systems and work alongside professionals to complete team and company objectives. You will learn the impact of your department on the overall company and its success. This role will be responsible for assisting with daily tasks and projects in support the PHLY Account Management team. This role will require attention to detail and having a customer service mindset. It will be important to demonstrate building relationships both internally and externally and working in a fast-paced team environment. This role will work alongside and learn how the Account Associates facilitate new business or renewal processing in accordance with company underwriting guidelines. They will learn the daily operations of internal communication and collaboration internal teams to support accounts. Daily tasks may consist of (not an inclusive list and subject to change): Learning the PHLY products. Participation in regional team meetings to discuss business trends and challenges. Support new business and renewal processing based on underwriting guidelines.

Requirements

• Rising Junior or Senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree
• Involvement in community and extracurricular activities is preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
