About The Position

Tucker Ellis is seeking 1L law students (Class of 2028) to join our 2026 Summer Associate Program in our Cleveland office. The summer program is approximately 10 weeks long and typically begins in May 2026. Candidates interested in applying should submit a cover letter, resume, law school transcript (with grades), and a writing sample. Please note: Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, and this position will remain open until February 1, 2026. Applicants who have not yet received their first-semester grades are encouraged to apply; law school transcripts may be submitted once grades are released. Tucker Ellis Summer Associate Mentorship Program The Tucker Ellis Summer Associate Mentorship Program provides law students with a real-life, day-to-day sense of what it’s like to practice law at Tucker Ellis. The program pairs summer associates with experienced attorney mentors and writing coaches and introduces students to a wide range of litigation and transactional legal work. Summer associates receive hands-on experience, including opportunities such as: Attending court hearings and deal closings Observing depositions, witness interviews, and client meetings Performing legal research and due diligence Drafting motions, deposition outlines, and contracts Our program is intentionally designed to reflect Tucker Ellis’s culture of collaboration, mentorship, and strong relationships, both within the firm and in the communities we serve.
