Looking for a fun, meaningful summer job? Join the Allen County Public Library as a Summer Assistant and help make this summer unforgettable for our community. As part of our team, you'll welcome patrons, support exciting summer programs, and help children and families take part in our Summer Learning Program. If you enjoy working with people, staying organized, and being part of a positive, inclusive environment, this could be a great fit for you. This position will be at the Dupont Branch The schedule will be 24 hours per week and will include a mix of day and evening hours.
Requirements
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Comfortable using basic technology and software
- Organized, dependable, and eager to help
- Enjoys working with the public and supporting youth programs
- Interest in literacy, learning, and community engagement
Responsibilities
- Help patrons sign up for the Summer Learning Program using registration software
- Distribute prizes and support summer activities and programs
- Answer questions and share information about library services and events
- Organize materials and help keep the library welcoming and ready for visitors
- Work alongside friendly staff who are passionate about learning and community
