About The Position

Are you looking for a summer internship that provides real-world-project experience, while growing your talents on a supportive and inclusive team? If so, we want to connect with you! In this role, you will support the Thomson Reuters Corporate Venture Capital (CVC) investment activities and portfolio support delivering both strategic insights and financial returns to Thomson Reuters. This internship will be hybrid and on-site 3 days a week in our New York Office. The pay range is $30-$60/hr USD depending on if an MBA or undergrad.

Requirements

  • MBA is preferred
  • Passion for B2B Enterprise Technology and startups
  • Finance and other relevant coursework preferred
  • Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
  • Ability to take charge of identifying information sources, gathering, and interpreting data, executing analysis, and presenting findings
  • Comfortable in the dynamic fast-paced environment and able to multitask
  • Excited to learn and roll up your sleeves to work on a range of both strategic and tactical challenges
  • Excellent verbal and written communicator, and listener with the ability to condense complex topics into clear digestible content

Responsibilities

  • Support all aspects of due diligence on new investments (business analysis, industry thesis, competitive landscape, business/pricing model, financial modeling/deal structuring)
  • Reading and reviewing pitch decks and business plans to assess company activeness
  • Support the team in company pitch meetings, be responsible for detailed notes and follow-up communications
  • Work closely with portfolio founders on company-building activities such as competitive analysis and product intelligence
  • Be responsible for external positioning and marketing of fund
  • Maintain hygiene of our internal systems including deal sourcing pipeline and CRM
