About The Position

Spend Your Summer Helping Children And Youth At Zion Education Center, Farrell, PA, Spend you summer impacting and mentoring children attending the Zion Education Center. Activities include a variety of social and emotional activities to build self-esteem, science, literacy, and math programs helping children be better prepared for school in the fall. Keystone SMILES is a nonprofit located in Knox which provides summer AmeriCorps (work) opportunities for schools and nonprofits helping to address unmet needs with academic support for a fun summer. AmeriCorps is a national service movement that engages thousands of men and women of all ages and backgrounds in service often referred to as the domestic Peace Corps, aimed at meeting the needs in the areas of Education, Public Safety, Environment, and Human Services. Schedule: Monday – Friday - Full Time, Daytime Hours (occasional evening / weekend hours) AmeriCorps Positions and Benefits - 450 Hour Term May 12th - Last Day: August 14th May 19th - Last Day: August 19th Education Award - $1,956.35 Total Living Allowance - $6,300 300 Hour Term 1. June 2nd - Last Day: August 7th 2. June 9th - Last Day: August 14th Education Award - $1,565.08 Total Living Allowance - $4,361.54 Accepted applicants will participate in a one-day pre-service orientation their first day of service via virtual training .
