Overview of the Position: The Brook Hill Alliance (formerly PLUS) is a global leader in providing English language courses to international students. Our mission is to empower students to connect with the world through language and cultural exchange. At Brook Hill, we are dedicated to creating vibrant, inclusive, and safe environments where students can grow academically, culturally, and personally. Brook Hill runs summer English language study and travel programs for international high school students across North America. The programs allow students the opportunity to take English classes and explore the surrounding regions while staying at North American colleges and universities. The Academic Supervisor is a seasonal, hourly, and in-person position which manages the logistics of Brook Hill's academic program at a certain campus. Duties include managing a staff of English as a Foreign Language (EFL) instructors and specialty course instructors, coordinating teachers’ schedules, assigning teachers to classrooms, assigning students to classrooms (based on placement tests), supervising and providing feedback on instruction, addressing any issues as they arise, and providing customer service to students and their chaperones. This position is not eligible for on-campus housing. Travel to and from campus as part of your commute is not compensated. Costs related to parking may not be included, but complimentary parking permits may be available depending on the campus. The Academic Supervisor is expected to be present during all class sessions. Classes are Monday-Saturday, on average 4-5 times a week (with some Saturday mornings required). Some weeks may require up to six days of classes. Most lessons are 8:30am-12:15pm, with some additional afternoon classes 1:15pm-5:00pm. Some work outside of class hours will be required. Peak enrollment is usually the last two weeks of July. Some overtime work may be expected. Compensation: Hourly Wage for this position is between $27-$34 per hour.
