Summer 2026 Software Engineering Internship
About The Position
Take your software skills to the next level with Marotta Controls’ Internship Program. As a Software Engineering Intern, you’ll apply your coding and problem-solving abilities to projects in design, production, quality, and test engineering. This is a chance to work on aerospace and defense applications where reliability, precision, and innovation matter most. You’ll collaborate with hardware and systems engineers, gain exposure to real-world software validation, and present your work to senior leadership at the close of your rotation. Along the way, you’ll grow your technical skills while expanding your professional network.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related program.
- Solid programming knowledge (C/C++, Java, Python, or C# preferred).
- Understanding of the Hardware/Software Interface.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Interest in aerospace/defense applications and real-world system integration.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Availability to work full-time onsite beginning June 2026.
Nice To Haves
- GUI Development experience is a plus.
- Firmware/Embedded Software development is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Support software development, testing, and integration for aerospace systems.
- Assist with automation, simulation, and validation tools.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and test reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to optimize solutions.
- Participate in design reviews and apply coding best practices.
