As NASA’s largest engineering solutions provider working together with NASA at centers across the United States. We are seeking a Summer 2026 Systems Engineering Simulator (SES) Simulation Engineer Intern to support the lead responsible for the motion table washout algorithms in developing a visualization tool that will help the SES team understand and adjust the eyepoint for the motion table riders. This is a temporary role not to exceed 12 weeks. The Summer 2026 Systems Engineering Simulator (SES) Simulation Engineer Intern will: Assist with developing the web interface for user interaction with the tool. Develop database tables and queries to manage the data. Report to motion table washout algorithms lead for technical guidance, support, task assignment, and processes. Prepare status reports as required. Interact with other NASA and JETS teams and departments. Perform job functions based on pre-established guidelines or instructions. Perform other tasks as required.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled at an accredited university.
  • Completed at least 45 credit hours with a focus on math subjects.
  • Minimum of 2.8 GPA.
  • Self-motivated, team player and adaptability to a dynamic environment and the ability to complete all assignments as required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and schedules with limited supervision.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office products.
  • Proficiency with team collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams or WebEx.

Nice To Haves

  • College Junior or Senior working towards a BS in Math or equivalent from an accredited university.
  • Courses in Calculus, Differential Equations, and Numerical Analysis.
  • Interest in NASA or Space Flight.
