We are seeking a motivated Summer 2026 - Science Engagement Intern with a strong foundation in graphic design and coding to support science engagement projects that involve interactive digital products, templates, and visual communication for Earth and planetary science, and space exploration. This is a temporary role not to exceed 12 weeks.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in an accredited university.
Completed at least 45 credit hours.
Minimum of 2.8 GPA.
Coding experience (Python, HTML).
Visual graphic design skills.
Experience with Canva.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work in a collaborative environment.
Strong communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Coursework or projects in Coding, Graphic Design, Digital Media, or related fields.

Responsibilities

Assist in the development of digital activity templates.
Create products related to Earth and planetary science, and space exploration.
Collaborate with Science Engagement specialists to translate technical concepts into intuitive visual and digital designs.
Perform other duties as required.
