We are seeking a motivated RF Systems Intern to join our team in Frederick, MD. This internship provides an opportunity for individuals to gain valuable hands-on experience in the development, integration, testing, and production of RF systems. You will work closely with seasoned professionals in the field and contribute to real-world projects that impact defense and intelligence operations.

  • Work closely with and assist Systems engineers on various systems engineering activities
  • Carry out basic work instructions that will help in understanding the fundamentals of the Company and also learn new things
  • Conduct limited scope testing under the supervision of engineers
  • Complete assigned tasks on time
  • Gather and assemble data for engineers
  • May be required to help in research in a particular field
  • Conduct design analysis, calculation, RF performance simulations, and/or system modeling under the supervision of Systems Engineers and Architects
  • Assist engineers with appropriate design details
  • Must have good interpersonal skills and have the ability to build a good network
  • Perform a wide variety of tasks to gain familiarity with the engineering staff, methods, programs, and practices
  • Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values, and culture of the organization
  • High school diploma or GED, currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or related technical discipline.
  • Foundational understanding of RF systems, signal processing, or electromagnetics through coursework or projects.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Ansys, SPICE, Python, and/or Excel for modeling, simulation, and data analysis.
  • Exposure to linear algebra, probability & statistics, and differential equations, supporting the analysis of complex RF and SIGINT systems.
  • Interest in open-standard architectures and modular system design principles.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate trade-offs in high-performance system architectures, such as dynamic range and signal integrity.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in multi-disciplinary teams and contribute to technical discussions.
  • Coursework or hands-on experience in communications systems, digital signal processing, or RF engineering.
  • Familiarity with system integration and test environments, especially in modular or scalable architectures.
  • Exposure to complex variables, Fourier analysis, or control systems is a plus.
  • Interest in SIGINT mission applications and the role of advanced RF technology in supporting them.
