Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an accredited, in-person, not-for-profit Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Human Factors, User Interface Design, Graphic Design, or related field and graduating between December 2026 and June 2027.
• Experience creating wireframes, mockups, and designs.
• Experience designing and delivering website product features for consumers.
• Experience collaborating with product and engineering teams to launch features.
• Experience conducting user research and testing throughout the product lifecycle.
• Experience developing and evolving design systems.
• Experience with Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and PowerPoint.
• Strong visual and interaction design skills with a strong portfolio.
• Strong verbal and written skills communicating ideas, concepts, and designs.
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other front-end web programming languages.
• Familiarity with W3C/WCAG and ADA web accessibility standards.
• Must have successfully completed the Summer 2025 Product Design Internship with Apartments.com.

• Evidence of strong academic performance in college.

• Strong verbal and written skills communicating ideas, concepts, and designs.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product designers, product managers to translate abstract ideas, research findings, analytics data, and business requirements into effective design solutions.
• Engage in design thinking with the team and help maintain and improve the design system to ensure design principles and methods are consistently applied across product experiences.
• Support a few concurrent design projects at various stages of completion status.
• Support the production of concepts, sketches, prototypes, high-fidelity designs, and other design assets and effectively communicate these ideas to a range of stakeholders and audiences.
• Present work to other team members and stakeholders to recruit feedback, iterate and improve, and then propose implementation recommendations.
