About The Position

At CesiumAstro, we are developers and pioneers of out-of-the-box communication systems for satellites, UAVs, launch vehicles, and other space and airborne platforms. We take pride in our dynamic and cross-functional work environment, which allows us to learn, develop, and engage across our organization. If you are looking for hands-on, interactive, and autonomous work, CesiumAstro is the place for you. We are actively seeking passionate, collaborative, energetic, and forward-thinking individuals to join our team. The CesiumAstro Power Electronics Design Team is looking for Summer 2026 interns to design and build electronics hardware for satellite communication systems. On the CesiumAstro Analog & Power Electronics Design Team, we are responsible for electronic circuits through all stages of the development process development for cutting-edge space and military electronics. We own designs from initial concept through part selection, schematic capture, printed circuit board (PCB) design, build, test, and delivery, all the way through production support. Designs encompass the spectrum of electronics design, including high-speed digital, analog, power electronics, and RF hardware – often on the same board. We’re looking for summer interns to support our mission. Interns work side-by-side with design engineers: contributing to the company’s success is as high of a priority as learning and gaining experience. Interns are typically paired with an experienced engineering mentor and are responsible for design projects that directly contribute towards an on-going program or contribute towards advancing the Analog & Power Electronics team’s technology development road map. Interns will also gain valuable experience in analysis and hands-on laboratory characterization and troubleshooting of electronic circuits. Specific assignments will be determined by a mix of project availability, candidate skillset and interests. If you are an electrical engineering student with a passion for analog or power electronics and who wants to sink your teeth into the rigor of space and military electronics design, this is the job for you.
