Job Summary Iron Mountain is seeking a motivated and analytical Logistics Engineer Intern to join our Warehouse & Logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting solution design for new customer operational designs and implementations and driving operational excellence through data-driven process improvements across our facilities.

Requirements

  • Current enrollment as a rising Junior Graduating May 2028 or December 2028 pursuing a bachelor’s degree only in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or Operations Management.
  • U.S. Citizenship Status: Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of application and for the full duration of the internship.
  • Strong knowledge of process improvement methodologies and a high level of comfort with analytics and optimization tools used in logistics and warehouse/distribution centers environments.
  • Proven ability in data analysis and problem-solving, with a focus on translating complex data sets into actionable engineering methods.
  • A proactive mindset with an interest in a long-term career path toward an Analyst role within logistics.

Responsibilities

  • Support solution design and engineering activities by reviewing data to translate operational criteria into optimized equipment, process, and technology recommendations for new customers.
  • Collaborate with the U.S. Operations and Solution Design teams to build automation into current design processes and implement AI recommendations that optimize calculations for warehouse activities.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational standards by contributing to Continuous Improvement Programs, analyzing facility layouts, and improving material flow to increase site productivity.
