About The Position

At Prosek Partners, the stories we tell impact the global economy. Prosek’s Investor Relations Apprentice Program offers post graduate students the opportunity to launch their careers in financial communications / investor relations. Our 6-month program is designed to train the next generation of professionals. In this program, you’ll get the chance to work in a fast-paced environment alongside some of the biggest household financial services names in the world. You’ll develop your media relations and writing skills while learning the intricacies of Wall Street, financial technology, B2B, and professional services. Program Overview and Responsibilities Real Work Experience Prosek Investor Relations Apprentices will leverage a combination of analytical, research and client-facing skills to service a portfolio of small to mid-cap public companies in their ongoing communications with shareholders.

Requirements

  • Completed BS/BA degree by the start of the program.
  • Strong interest in financial services, professional services, technology, and B2B communications.
  • Possess a team player mindset and willingness to work collaboratively.
  • Have solid research and critical thinking skills along with strong time management and prioritization skills.
  • Extreme attention to detail is a must.

Nice To Haves

  • Strongly encouraged (but not required) to have prior relevant internship experience

Responsibilities

  • Be the go-to resource for the investor relations team in circulating analyst reports, market data, client-impacting media articles, institutional investor profiles, sell-side conference calendars, and other relevant industry intel
  • Develop a sound understanding of clients’ industries and peers to be able to provide market intel to clients as appropriate
  • Take the first pass at drafting/editing of earnings call scripts and press releases
  • Prepare client memos and recommendations, including institutional ownership analysis, peer analysis, and policy and procedures memos
  • Draft mock Q&A to prepare management for public speaking engagements
  • Liaise with earnings conference call providers and take notes on the call to share with the team.
  • Maintain logs of shareholder inquiries and conversations with sell-side analysts; transcribe/summarize these conversations as appropriate
  • Support the investor relations team in the production of board presentations for clients
  • Conduct due diligence by pulling trading logs and liaising with exchange representatives to better understand fluctuations in a client’s stock on a given day
  • Take an owner’s role in every element of account execution by keeping track of action items, taking thorough notes during internal and client calls and tracking the team’s progress.
  • Aid team in advising companies through their quarterly earnings cycles, with direct exposure to executive leadership teams.
