About The Position

QTS' summer internship program will provide you first hand experience into the fast paced world of the data center industry by providing weekly lunch and learns, a comprehensive orientation program, and site based activities, socials and volunteering events. Every intern will be assigned initiatives tied to real QTS objectives helping with anything pertaining to the whole life-cycle of a data center build and/or company operations. The Interior Design Projects Intern will be immersed in a variety of responsibilities around planning, monitoring, and executing office interior design projects.

Requirements

• Actively pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design, Civil Engineering or a related field
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint for presentations and Excel for data analysis and budgeting
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities

Nice To Haves

• Current full-time enrollment in one of QTS's partner institutions or a Blackstone Launchpad affiliate school
• Previous internship or co-op experience in construction, finance, technology, HR, facilities engineering, or related industries
• Involvement in community activities outside of schoolwork (athletics, clubs, volunteering, part-time employment)

Responsibilities

• Assist Interiors team with day-to-day activities and responsibilities
• Assist in maintaining updated budgets, schedules, and status reports for a given project(s)
• Assist with internal coordination and administration for contracts, purchase orders, change orders and new project requests
• Assist with updates on development program & project status on a bi-weekly basis suitable for executive level reviews
• Assist with scopes of work for design, construction, commissioning services & participate in procurement and project cost estimates
• Assist with monitoring project budget / cost-to-date against overall project budget
• Work with the internal development team to enhance project management processes and protocols
