About The Position

Western Alliance Bank is a nationally recognized commercial bank known for its strong financial performance, innovative technology platforms, and commitment to customer-centric solutions. With a broad footprint and deep regional expertise, WAB serves clients across diverse industries. Western Alliance Bank IT is seeking motivated undergraduate students majoring in Computer Science or related fields for its Summer 2026 Internship Program. Interns will be placed across various IT functions and will contribute to real-world projects that support the bank’s digital transformation, enterprise systems, and software development initiatives. The Information Technology division at WAB powers the bank’s digital infrastructure and strategic technology initiatives. WAB IT supports key areas such as Digital Banking & Customer Experience Platforms, Payments, Lending Systems, CRM Technologies, Corporate Technologies & Risk Management, Enterprise Architecture & Cloud Solutions, Mortgage Technology & Core Banking Systems, and Data Analytics & Automation. Interns will be assigned to teams based on their interests, skills, and business needs.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with programming languages and standards (e.g., React, Node.js, Python, Java, C#, RESTful APIs etc.) and cloud platforms.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Interest in financial services and enterprise technology.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with IT teams on development, analytics, and automation projects.
Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint deliverables.
Participate in design discussions, learn and implement solutions such as custom applications, SaaS or Commercial platforms, and middleware integrations.
Assist in building internal tools or prototypes using technologies such as .NET, Python, SQL, and Azure.
Support testing, documentation, and deployment of software solutions.
Attend learning sessions and mentorship activities.
