About The Position

The Dow Jones Corporate Communications team is seeking a talented and motivated Corporate Communications summer intern to join our team. The 10-week internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the fast-paced media industry, working on assignments across Dow Jones’s suite of products and services. This role is hybrid, based in our NYC - 1211 Ave of the Americas City office.

Requirements

  • Completed at least two years toward your bachelor’s degree with a focus on communications, public relations, marketing or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to tailor messages for different audiences.
  • Ability to handle confidential or otherwise sensitive information with discretion.
  • Experience creating engaging social media content and a keen interest in staying updated on the latest digital trends.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a deadline-driven environment.
  • A positive attitude, eagerness to learn and a proactive approach to tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of engaging and compelling content for various communication channels, including press releases, executive communications, social media and the company intranet.
  • Monitor and analyze media coverage relevant to the company and industry trends. Summarize key findings for distribution to internal stakeholders.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of corporate events, including preparing materials and coordinating logistics.
  • Track earned media, speaking engagements and broadcast appearances and assist in the creation of coverage reports tied to key events and product announcements.
  • Contribute to the management of our corporate social media accounts, including content creation, scheduling posts and engaging with our online community.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams and executive leadership to ensure consistency and alignment in all Dow Jones communications.
