We are currently looking for a Summer 2026 Internship: Applications Intern, Taste, Texture & Health – Sweet Goods Innotech at our Princeton, NJ office. The 2026 dsm-firmenich Summer Internship Program will run from June 1, 2026, to August 14, 2026. Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm Join our Sweet Goods, Flavor Innovation team as an intern and gain invaluable professional experience. Enhance your skills and contribute to real projects that have visibility across the business through a Summer internship. Come discover all we have to offer! At the end of this internship, you will: Gain a solid understanding of how our products are applied across key categories—such as beverages, fermented products, and baked goods—through hands-on project work. You will also learn the critical role flavors play in shaping tonality, modulation, and overall sensory experience in sweet goods - building insight into how flavor design impacts the final product.

Requirements

  • Currently working on completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or related field
  • Must be available to work full-time on-site beginning on June 1, 2026, to August 14, 2026
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint
  • Experience with working in a lab setting; working in a pilot plant or food processing environment is a plus
  • Skills related to formulating and evaluating food and beverage products

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support innovation projects for the InnoTech team in the Dairy Taste and Plant-Based Programs
  • Product development and pilot plant processing of foods and beverages
  • Organize and manage internal tastings and sensory evaluations of technologies
  • Collect, analyze, and report data from evaluations
  • Support regional application teams, as needed
