About The Position

As a Servo Track Write intern, you will participate in various stages of analyzing large datasets collected from hard disk drive manufacturing processes. You will extract critical parameters and visualize them to help engineers identify trends, issues, and potential root causes. You will also develop and validate models used for system design, optimization, decision-making, or prediction — including (but not limited to) robust feedback motion-control design, parameter optimization, and data visualization — to improve product quality and yield, as well as develop new processes and tools to more efficiently perform these tasks using AI.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Ph.D./MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or related fields with experience in developing real-time embedded hardware, firmware, or software
  • Basic knowledge of interfacing firmware, digital hardware, and analog electronics
  • Past experience or current expertise using Matlab

Nice To Haves

  • Real-time development background in C/C++ (object-oriented design experience) and using AI to accelerate or transform the firmware development is a strong plus
  • Experience with Control Systems or Digital Signal Processing is preferred
