As we help clear the path to a greener future, we need to ensure our people continue to power our progress. The world of energy is changing faster than ever! Our Gridtern Program provides current college students the ability to gain practical experience within the energy industry. Your summer will begin on Monday, June 15, 2026, and will be filled with meaningful work experiences, professional development, networking opportunities, community involvement, and most importantly, have fun! What You'll Do Our Resource Coordination, Scheduling, and Work Support team plays a critical role in ensuring the New York Gas Operations teams have everything that they need to complete work safely, efficiently, and on schedule. This team assembles “ready‑to‑work” job packages including required permits, Dig Safe/mark‑outs, and all necessary documentation while aligning resources for our field crews to execute work throughout the planned workplan. As a Gridtern, you will help the team improve how they plan, prioritize, and schedule work by turning raw data into clear, actionable reporting. This will enable faster, more informed decision-making by minimizing time spent on manual research and reducing data inconsistencies. You will use tools like Microsoft Power BI and Power Automate to analyze datasets and build visually compelling dashboards that tell the data story, while identifying opportunities to automate manual processes and drive greater efficiency across the team. You will be based in Melville, NY working in a Hybrid format for the summer. You must reside within a commutable distance to the designated work location during this period.
