ATI is seeking to hire a Process Engineering Intern for our Summer 202 Internship Program. This position will be based in the Pittsburgh, PA region and will run from June to August 2025. Relocation and housing assistance is available for the summer. As an intern at ATI, you'll gain hands-on experience, learn from experts, and collaborate with teams that do truly exceptional things. The projects and skills outlined below will be guided and directed by an established ATI-Professional in your field of interest.

  • Establish relationships between process characteristics and key output variables.
  • Assist the Quality Department with the development and improvement of standard operating procedures and temporary work instructions.
  • Identify, justify, and implement cost savings projects.
  • Participate on Capital Project teams as needed.
  • Daily and direct interaction with production personnel involving process related issues and potential improvements.
  • Currently attending accredited 4-year college with a major in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science/Metallurgy, or related field.
  • Desire to work in a manufacturing environment, and working from a maintenance perspective with heavy industrial equipment is a plus.
  • Familiarity with computer-based process models and optimization techniques.
  • Proficiency with ad-hoc database queries using Microsoft Access or SQL.
