Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a college or university (Bachelor's or Master's program)
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • Available for full 10-week program (May 27 - July 31, 2026)
  • Must reside near or be able to reliably commute to Hartford, CT (this is an in-person internship)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship (CPT/OPT not supported)

Nice To Haves

  • At least 2 years of academic progress toward a bachelor's degree
  • Expected to graduate and be available for full-time employment by mid-2027
  • Preferred majors: Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or other relevant business fields
  • Experience as a results-driven competitor
  • Demonstrated interest in financial sales and a career pathway in wholesaling

Responsibilities

  • Support our Core Sales and Support team by contributing to real-time business initiatives and impactful, hands-on projects
  • Create prospecting lists and advisor additions in Salesforce to support Internal Sales Directors (ISDs)
  • Analyze sales data to improve sales pipelines and streamline processes
  • Identify process enhancements through use of data and AI tools
  • Gain insight into consultative sales skills, the sales cycle, and Empower's 401(k) investment products

Benefits

  • Compensation: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour (based on academic level)
  • High-performing interns may be considered for return offers or full-time opportunities post-graduation
