The AI and Data Analytics Intern will work closely with the VP of Technology and the Technology team to support high-impact initiatives including the IoT Engine Monitoring platform, Product Information Management (PIM) system, data warehouse development, ERP integrations, and operational reporting. This role provides hands-on experience in data analytics, software development, mobile UI/UX, documentation, and modern data systems while contributing directly to projects that improve sales enablement, service accuracy, and internal operations. In this role, you will: Assist in gathering, cleaning, structuring, and organizing data from multiple sources including ERP systems, IoT platforms, and internal databases. Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends, patterns, and insights supporting operational, supply-chain, and performance reporting. Support development and validation of dashboards, analytics tools, and reporting datasets used by Sales, Service, Parts, Operations, and Accounting. Contribute to Product Information Management (PIM) initiatives by organizing, cataloging, and structuring diagrams, schematics, specifications, and technical documentation across multiple engine lines. Assist with development of the IoT Engine Monitoring platform, including dashboard UI updates, alerting logic validation, and mobile-friendly interface enhancements. Help prepare and model data used for fuel burn analysis, engine performance metrics, and operational reporting. Support data warehouse initiatives by assisting with pipeline documentation, data preparation, and integration of new data sources. Assist with ERP integrations and workflow automation projects, including asset-availability and operational reporting processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Service, Parts, Sales, Operations, and Accounting to ensure data accuracy and usability. Maintain clear technical documentation of processes, data structures, and project outcomes. Participate in project reviews, presentations, and validation of system outputs such as dashboards, alerting logic, and reporting accuracy. May perform other duties as required by business needs.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools and frameworks (e.g., pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn).
  • Interest in data modeling, software development, mobile UI/UX, and modern IoT/data platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Strong organizational skills for managing documentation, structured data, and multi-system information.
  • High energy with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Willingness to face complex technical challenges and contribute to high-impact projects.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Strong customer-service mindset when supporting internal stakeholders
