About The Position

The Digital Business Technology Infrastructure (DBT) Intern has the opportunity to work with and be mentored by technology specialists in conducting network and server operational tasks for Information Technology services for the enterprise. Day-to-day Responsibilities Assist with virtual server and IT networking day to day operations. Conduct inventory review for operational status of devices and services for technical expected states. Review Infrastructure monitoring tools and responding and documenting disruptions. Validate that Service level agreements (SLA) are in place and enforced for all devices in operations with the enterprise. Assists in educating, monitoring, and training personnel in safe work procedures Monitor on-prem data center floor. Inspect devices in various racks for any warning or outage related notifications for various devices. Works on assignments that are routine in nature, requiring limited judgment Receives detailed instructions on all work under close supervision Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled and working on a 4-year degree in a related field (Information Technology, Computer Science.)
  • 0 - 1 year of experience in a related field with experience working with technology related systems
  • 3.0 GPA or higher preferred
  • Ability to work in an office and manufacturing environment (Constant)
  • Able to climb ladders, stoop, kneel, twist, bend (Occasional)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (Occasional)
  • Ability to transition between sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods of time (Frequent)
  • This position requires access to information that is subject to compliance with the International Traffic Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”). In order to comply with the requirements of the ITAR and/or the EAR, applicants must qualify as a U.S. person under the ITAR and the EAR, or a person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction.

Nice To Haves

  • Current certification in any of Microsoft, AWS, CompTia, ITIL preferred
  • Demonstrates competency in researching and applying DBT compliance regulations to site operations
  • Maintain a level of competence in DBT regulatory compliance
  • Has effective problem-solving, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
