About The Position

As part of a hardworking team, interns work directly with Blue engineering teams on projects in support of our business units. Mechanical Engineering Intern with Exploration Systems Team: As a part of a hard-working team, you will help us meet our goals by supporting the design, development, fabrication, and testing of various mechanical and electromechanical systems. You will have the opportunity to learn through hands-on experience and make a tangible, positive contribution to our product development efforts. During your internship experience, you can expect to: Gain exposure to the design life cycle. Receive feedback from managers. Participate in events to learn about other parts of our organization. Attend social gatherings.

Requirements

Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program with at least one quarter or semester of degree related coursework remaining after the internship concludes.
Completed at least one year of full-time coursework post high school graduation at the time of application (obtained sophomore standing).
Available to work full time for 12 weeks while not concurrently enrolled in coursework.
Strong written, verbal, communication, and social skills.
Strong interest in space.
Willingness to learn.

Nice To Haves

Relevant internship/co-op and/or academic project experience that demonstrates development of both technical skills as well as leadership qualities.
End-to-end hands-on project experience (design, build test).
Experience with CAD modeling.
Experience with data processing.
