About The Position

As a part of a product development team, you will focus on preparing and testing new ingredients for the beauty and personal care market. You will have an opportunity to interact with other business functions including marketing and analytical teams.

Requirements

• PhD student in Organic Chemistry, Polymer Science, or Material Science, and related discipline
• Working knowledge of synthetic chemistry with the ability to carry out lab experiments.
• Working knowledge of standard personal computer applications (word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, etc.)
• The candidate must be actively enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at the time of application and for at least one semester following the conclusion of the internship.
• The candidate is expected to be available 40 hours a week for a period of 10-12 weeks between the months of May and August.
• To be considered for this position candidates are required to submit an application for employment and be of legal working age as defined by local law.

Responsibilities

• Prepare bio-based ingredients at lab scale.
• Characterize the prepared material and evaluate its performance for personal care applications.
• Summarize lab data and draw conclusions by data analysis.
• Follow lab safety protocols and maintain lab notebook.
