About The Position

The purpose of this internship is to give a college student the opportunity to develop an understanding of the primary product and service offerings associated with FNB's Advisory Businesses: Wealth Management, Insurance and Private Banking. Through participation in client and prospect meetings, our interns will also come to understand how we develop new business and serve existing clients via our consultative approach to selling. Our three businesses offer a wide range of solutions for clients and a range of career opportunities: Wealth Management includes Trust services, Investment Advisory functions, a full-service Brokerage unit and financial planning for businesses, institutional clients and mass affluent and high net worth clients. FNB Insurance provides Property & Casualty and Employee Benefits programs for businesses and institutional clients while also providing a full spectrum of risk management solutions for households. Our Private Bankers provide for credit and deposit solutions oriented to our more sophisticated high net worth and professional clients and work closely with many of FNB's business owners and executives. Our interns will gain exposure and hands-on experience in working with our associates across these business lines. Our interns will spend time with each of our businesses over the summer.

Requirements

• Needs to be officially enrolled in an undergraduate bachelor program with a major in areas such as Finance, Accounting, Marketing or Information Technology
• Minimum Education: High School or GED
• Minimum Years Experience: 0

Responsibilities

• Attend client and sales meetings with representatives of Wealth, Insurance and Private Banking and engage in pre-call research and planning as appropriate
• Gain hands on exposure to how we evaluate credit requests in Private Banking and learn how we use various loan options to satisfy the range of needs encountered in working with affluent households.
• Learn all elements of the My Risk Manager process used in our Insurance agency and all steps we take to address the risk management needs of businesses and individuals.
• Learn how we compose our investment portfolios in Wealth Management and how we address the 401k needs of our business clients.
• Complete a Capstone Project specific to the Advisory Businesses working with other interns
• Participate and attend FNB related events/trainings that are scheduled for all Summer Interns
