The intern will have the opportunity to work on high-impact, analytical projects in Credit Risk Management that will contribute to strategic decision-making aligned with enterprise risk goals. Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master’s program in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, or related degree.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office Suite Skills.
  • Outstanding data analysis, organizational, and prioritization skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal, work ethic, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with ambiguity.
  • Basic proficiency in SQL, SAS, Python, R, or other statistical software packages.
  • Coursework in data science and machine learning methodologies.
  • Conceptual understanding of credit and lending.
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be actively enrolled in a degree program or graduated within the last year
  • Employees of T-Mobile or Metro by T-Mobile are ineligible for internships
  • Employer does not sponsor work visas for this position. Note that this also applies to individuals who are students in F-1 status who desire sponsorship after they complete their education.

Responsibilities

  • Perform complex qualitative and quantitative analysis of Consumer credit data, leading to the generation of business cases, the development of new strategies, and what-if analyses of existing strategies.
  • Explore opportunities for optimization of existing, data-driven methodologies for strategy development.
  • Analyze Consumer credit bureau and alternative Consumer credit data, resolving assignments with specific data-driven responses and incremental insights.
  • Extract, load and transform credit risk data from multiple sources and complex formats.
