Summer 2026 Finance & Accounting Internship – Backhaul Direct (Paid, Part-Time) Indianapolis, IN | On-site | Full Time/Part Time Flexible | May-August Jumpstart your finance career with hands-on experience. Finance & Accounting Internship Overview: This internship provides a full view of how money moves through a business. You will support our Finance team and gain hands on experience with the same processes used by full-time accounting professionals.
Requirements
- An Undergraduate Sophomore, junior, or senior pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
- Have a basic understanding of accounting principles
- Detail oriented and highly organized
- Proficient in Excel
- Able to manage deadlines and work independently
- Strong communicator with a willingness to learn and solve problems
- Interested in turning this internship into a long-term opportunity
Responsibilities
- Hands on experience with accounting, logistics, and banking systems
- Exposure to month end close including reconciliations and payment schedules
- Experience in accounts receivable and accounts payable including invoicing, reporting, and processing
- Maintaining accurate financial records and reports
- Preparing data for internal financial reporting
- Exposure to other departments including compliance, sales operations, and account management
- Understanding of logistics KPIs and real-world problem solving
- Professional development in communication, organization, and business operations
