About The Position

This job has the goal of providing the opportunity to acquire practical experience through direct exposure to the related business line(s) and to develop the next generation of diverse business professionals. To that end, the program will provide hands-on training and experience in the business line, expose the various career opportunities in the business line and related areas, and prepare participants for positions in the business. The intern will be responsible for completing an evaluation project with the team and presenting the work to an audience. The project will involve one or more of the following: an analysis of a specific health-related intervention based on descriptive statistics, a matched analysis involving an intervention and a control group, or a methodological deep-dive and review of innovative approaches to enhance future health-related intervention evaluations. The work will be conducted primarily in R, with some SAS.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Pursuance of a graduate degree full or part-time in an accredited college or university.
  • Must have working knowledge of R.
  • Technical competence and effective communication skills, both oral and written.

Nice To Haves

  • Graduation date: Fall 2026 or later.
  • Graduate students studying STEM, subjects such as: research methods, epidemiology, statistics.
  • Candidate must be pursuing a Master’s degree, preferably in analytics, health services research, epidemiology, statistics or biostatistics.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively while interacting directly with colleagues, clientele, and/or other internal or external constituencies.
  • Provide professional services as appropriate to the day-to-day operating objectives of the area under supervision.
  • Undertake and/or participate in projects and programs designed to develop professional skills and expertise.
  • Participate in the planning and implementation of unit projects and initiatives.
  • Conduct research and reporting inclusive of recommendations or alternative proposals for action as requested by management.
  • Undertake related studies or enrichment programs as appropriate to the specific objectives of the operating unit.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
  • Data analysis and code development in R.
