About The Position

Kroger is looking for dynamic creative thinkers with a passion for food to join their Summer Internship Program. This 12-week immersive experience is designed for current college students who are eager to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced innovative environment. The program runs from May 18 to August 7, 2026, and offers competitive pay, mentorship, and real-world experience in various fields. Interns will have the opportunity to drive projects, refine their professional skills, and connect with industry leaders and other students across the country.

Requirements

  • Must be actively pursuing a degree at an accredited college or university.
  • Preferred GPA of 3.2 or higher.
  • Desired Sophomore standing or higher pursuing a bachelor's/graduate degree in Marketing, Economics, Operations Management, Finance, Analytics, Supply Chain, Procurement, or other CPG/Retail related majors.
  • Ability to respond to changing business priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent oral/written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to preserve confidentiality of information.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Sourcing and Cost Management department to understand departmental initiatives.
  • Collaborate with a Category Manager and Suppliers to provide insights through data analytics.
  • Communicate directly with suppliers and participate in category strategic negotiations.
  • Complete challenging and meaningful projects that positively impact Kroger's business and consumers.
  • Run analysis on historical and current data to improve forward-looking profitability of Kroger.
  • Complete projects in a timely manner with the assistance of an Analyst and Senior Analyst mentor.
  • Participate in strategic discussions and lead meetings as necessary.
  • Present cumulative project to the Enterprise Sourcing leadership team.
