About The Position

Wabtec Corporation is looking for students to help revolutionize the way the world moves in the future! The 10-week Summer Internship Program encourages college students to explore their professional interests while working on real business projects. Interns will gain real work experience with products in the Locomotive, Transit, Mining & Marine Propulsion systems businesses. The program aims to bring academic topics to life and prepare students for potential full-time positions after graduation in leadership programs or direct hire roles. Interns will also have opportunities for professional training and social activities throughout the experience, providing a valuable network with peers and senior leaders.

Requirements

• Completed at least one year of college (Rising Sophomore).
• Enrolled in an accredited engineering degree program in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity or related technical degree.
• Maintain at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale after completing the full year of college.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S., without the need for current or future work status authorization or visa sponsorship for employment.

• Strong desire to learn and develop technically in engineering roles.
• Effective communication & interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Work on real business projects related to design engineering, sustainability, systems, hands-on testing, additive manufacturing, controls, alternative fuels, cooling, signaling, embedded software, cybersecurity, engine performance, network & logistics, or other areas in digital technology.
• Participate in professional training and social activities.
• Network with peers and senior leaders.

Benefits

• Hourly rates for summer internships range from $19 to $33/hr based on year in school/graduation year and major.
