ONE Gas is a premier natural gas distribution company headquartered in Tulsa, Oklahoma. We provide natural gas distribution services to approximately 2.3 million customers in Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas. Our internship program is designed to provide students with meaningful, hands-on experience for professional growth and development. We're seeking motivated and high-performing students to join our Engineering team for Summer 2026 in Tulsa, OK. This hybrid internship offers a dynamic blend of in-office and remote work, giving interns exposure to real-world engineering functions, processes, and field operations. Interns will work on impactful projects, collaborate with professionals across departments, and participate in networking events with peers and company leadership.

  • Building and maintaining capacity and reliability models in Synergi Gas hydraulic modelling software
  • Collaborating with Customer Development, Engineering, and Operations to develop system long term plans
  • Identifying scenarios and solutions for extreme weather and environmental conditions, including their impact on pipeline system performance
  • Developing scenarios for system capacity, demand, & reliability analysis for asset capacity planning
  • Validating asset information, strategy, and policy recommendations from respective asset management, integrity management, operations, and engineering groups to ensure asset risk mitigation plans are effective
  • Coordinating, assisting, and/or performing engineering activities relative to the design, operation, and maintenance of company pipeline and storage systems and related facilities
  • Helping with project coordination among area regions, departments (Customer Development, Operating, and Customer Services), and contractors including bid proposals and contracts, line extensions, construction and relocation projects
  • Providing technical and/or engineering assistance to management, employees, governmental/regulatory personnel, contractors, customers, and others on various matters including meter and regulator settings, equipment/system design, pipeline sizes, pipeline modeling, database analyses, growth planning, and emergency valve isolation plans for pipeline systems
  • Reviewing, summarizing, and assisting in preparation of information including engineering studies, pipeline bid proposals, construction contracts, status/activity reports, job orders, and purchase requisitions
  • Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering, preferably graduating in December 2026 or May 2027
  • Enrolled at the University of Oklahoma or Oklahoma State University
  • Maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Involved in extracurricular activities, community service, or leadership roles
  • Experienced through prior internships, part-time jobs, or volunteer work
