About The Position

Ideal Candidate The DiscoverYou program is designed to support the young talent of our community and is intentional in our selection of candidates for this opportunity. We have key partnerships within schools and the community to reach students who otherwise might not have opportunities like this. We are not necessarily always looking for the A+ student who is class president and involved in everything under the sun; we are hoping to reach the students who are otherwise overlooked and are working to become leaders in their schools and communities. The primary reason we offer a stipend for this program is to provide students with access to an opportunity like this, where otherwise they might have to make the choice between working or caring for their family instead of their own development. Requirements

  • Entering junior or senior year in high school.
  • Must be at least 16 years old.
  • Able to fully participate in our program.
  • Is communicative and prompt in completing the application/onboarding process.
  • Interested in insurance or business-related field.
  • Curious and open to learn about career paths and make connections with professionals.
  • Attends DMPS or is coming from a community partnership (JA, Avenue Scholars, etc.)
