About The Position

Kroger is looking for current college students who are interested in gaining on-the-job training, mentorship, and real-world experience in their field of choice. The Kroger Summer Internship Program is a 12-week immersive experience that offers students an opportunity to grow their careers through a variety of focused internship assignments. Summer 2026 dates: May 18 - August 7. Our program offers competitive pay, hands-on learning experiences, company exposure to senior leaders, and professional development opportunities. Spend your semester driving projects, refining your professional skills, working along industry leaders, and connecting with other students from across the country.

Requirements

  • Open to communications, journalism marketing or related majors.
  • Must be actively pursuing a degree at an accredited college or university with a preferred GPA of 3.0.
  • Must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States.
  • Highly motivated student with the desire to take initiative on their own work.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to work in groups or independently.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to preserve confidentiality of information.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to present information to various levels of the organization.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities between school, work or extra-curricular activities.
  • Responds to change as a positive challenge.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
  • Significant level of multi-tasking.

Responsibilities

  • Help to develop associate communications and engagement strategies for the enterprise designed to inspire, motivate, and engage associates.
  • Help associates connect to Our Purpose and Promise through innovative, data-driven, strategic communications and storytelling.
  • Amplify our company's and associates' unique story to elevate our reputation as an employer of choice and spotlight the work of our teams and leaders.
