Summer 2026 Construction Intern

Clancy & Theys Construction CoWilmington, NC
167d

About The Position

Our summer internship program spans 10-12 weeks, pending semester start/end dates, as well as any planned vacations. Our program provides valuable experience in the commercial construction market, with exposure to a wide variety of activities involving all aspects of the construction industry, including preconstruction planning, construction safety, project management and field management. Interns have the opportunity to work alongside seasoned professionals, gaining insights that can only be acquired through hands-on experience. We prioritize a collaborative environment where interns are encouraged to ask questions, contribute ideas, and take on responsibilities that challenge their abilities and expand their skill sets. Throughout the program, interns are involved in real projects, from initial design phases to the final walkthroughs. They learn how to review blueprints, manage timelines, coordinate with subcontractors, and ensure quality standards are met. Additionally, interns attend workshops and seminars led by industry experts, covering topics such as sustainable building practices, safety protocols, and the latest technological advancements in construction. Our goal is to equip interns with a comprehensive understanding of the construction process, preparing them for future roles in the industry. By the end of the internship, participants not only have a solid foundation of construction knowledge but also a network of professional contacts and mentors who can provide guidance and support as they advance in their careers. We are committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment where every intern feels valued and empowered to achieve their potential. We are Building Careers, The Clancy Way.
