About The Position

The Cancer Immunology group of the Oncology Thematic Research Center (Oncology TRC) in Seattle, Washington is focused on leveraging biological, translational, and clinical datasets to develop the next wave of T cell engager and cancer immunology drugs. The Oncology TRC is highly committed to supporting local STEM initiatives that expose individuals from all backgrounds to careers in scientific disciplines through a Summer Internship Program for the summer of 2026. This is a great opportunity to gain exposure to diverse areas of the drug discovery process and have a hand in bringing novel therapeutics to cancer patients. We are seeking highly motivated individuals with at least 2 years of study towards a bachelor's degree from accredited Colleges and Universities to participate in a 10-week, full-time paid summer research program. Interns will have the opportunity to make meaningful contributions to drug discovery programs within the cancer immunology and T cell engager pipeline at BMS. The interns will work directly with a discovery program lead and a technical advisor to complete a defined project over the course of the 10-week program. Students will benefit from the state-of-the art laboratories at our research site and gain critical knowledge of the core techniques used for biological assays necessary for target identification/validation, molecule screening, and functional analysis of drug candidates in the early and late-stage discovery pipeline. The intern may also have the opportunity to participate in departmental and project team meetings to gain valuable insights into the drug discovery and development process and interact with individuals with a range of scientific and pharmaceutical leadership backgrounds. The internship will conclude with a formal poster session or presentation where the student will have the opportunity present their findings to the entire site.
