About The Position

The purpose of this internship is to give a college student the opportunity to experience all aspects of the Internal Audit Department at FNB. This would include but not be limited to: audit engagement planning, documentation request and tracking, evaluation of evidence, exposure to Audit's TeamMate workpaper software and other systems, preparation of audit work papers and reports within the system, and interaction with assorted clients throughout the Bank. In the Audit intern role, an intern will have the opportunity to apply their knowledge to real world scenarios across the enterprise. During this experience he/she will gain practical, challenging and meaningful on-the-job work experience as an Audit professional with an organization who is continuously recognized as a Top Workplace and Best Place to Work.

Requirements

• Needs to be officially enrolled in an undergraduate bachelor program with a major in areas such as Finance, Accounting, Marketing or Information Technology.
• Minimum Education: High School or GED.
• Minimum Years Experience: 0.

Responsibilities

• Participate in planning activities including sending out engagement letters to clients and developing questionnaires and request lists to assist in the audit startup process.
• Meet and help interview audit clients for each assigned project.
• Participate in audit testing of the documentation received from clients and form an opinion on whether the evidence adequately supports the process in question.
• Assist in performing transactional and functional testing of books and records.
• Participate in developing and running reports using data analytics.
• Assist in finalizing electronic work papers including indexing, cross-referencing, confirmation summaries and documentation of audit findings.
• Participate in formal and on-the-job training to enhance audit skills and techniques.
• Perform special assignments as directed by Audit Management.
• Form audit conclusions and help shape the final audit report product.
• Participate and attend FNB related events/trainings that are scheduled for all Summer Interns.
