About Our Agribusiness Team Agribusiness has opportunities in all aspects of business, including Sales, Underwriting, Product, Claims, Risk Management and Operations. The internship will expose the candidate to all facets of the organization with an emphasis in Commercial Ag Casualty Claims. Our team is responsible for investigating and resolving liability claims for farmers, ranchers, and commercial agribusinesses. These claims may include auto property damage, auto bodily injury, farm worker injuries, ATV/UTV incidents, general liability property damage, slip and fall cases, and agronomy-related claims. We are committed to delivering fair, timely, and professional claim resolutions while supporting our insureds and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Assist in Initial Claim Intake and Documentation
- Review and summarize first notice of loss reports.
- Enter claim data into the claims management system with accuracy.
- Support Liability Investigations
- Conduct preliminary research on incidents using internal and external resources.
- Help gather and organize statements, photos, and other evidence.
- Participate in Claim Evaluation and Analysis
- Assist in reviewing policy coverage and liability factors.
- Help prepare claim summaries for supervisor review.
