About The Position

D.R. Horton, Inc., the largest homebuilder in the U.S., is currently looking for an Accounting Intern. The right candidate will assist the Accounting Managers and support staff with the management of all functions of the accounting department. This role involves learning the needs and methods in the accounting department within the company, supporting company policies and standards, suggesting improvements within the system, and executing policies to ensure compliance with quality standards. The intern will also be encouraged to explore other areas of interest to learn more about the general operations of the company, providing a vision both within and outside of the assigned department that will be supplemental to the learning experience. The intern is expected to conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company. Additionally, the intern should be prepared to work overtime and travel overnight as needed.

Requirements

• Must currently be enrolled in an accredited 4-year college or university and seeking a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form or via DRH applications.
• Proficiency with MS Office and email.
