About The Position

The Summer Mechanical Intern position at TLC is designed for current students pursuing an ABET accredited bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or architectural engineering. Interns will start mid-May and work until early August, full-time (40 hours per week), with flexible schedule options and the ability to work up to 3 days from home. This internship provides on-the-job training and mentorship from experienced engineers, allowing interns to apply their academic education to real projects, focusing on mechanical design of HVAC systems and plumbing systems.

Requirements

• Current student pursuing an ABET accredited bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or architectural engineering.
• Desire to pursue a career in engineering consulting.
• Ability to work full time (40 hours per week) from May through August.
• Computer software knowledge or ability to learn, as appropriate (Revit, IES VE, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Apply academic education to assigned tasks on real projects from concept to completion of construction.
• Receive on-the-job training and mentorship from experienced engineers.
• Learn the basics of Revit drafting/modeling and mechanical design of HVAC systems and plumbing systems.
