The Summer 2025 Formulations Technical Intern position at dsm-firmenich offers students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a global company focused on nutrition, health, and beauty. Interns will work on real business projects, develop professional skills, and expand their networks while contributing to product development in a highly regulated environment.

  • Operate dietary supplements and/or food process equipment with limited supervision.
  • Generate reliable data during laboratory activity.
  • Perform physical characteristics analysis on powders (flow, particle size, density, etc.).
  • Set-up, clean and maintain equipment for experiments by following the SOPs.
  • Perform routine weight checking of balances.
  • Organize raw materials, packaging materials, laboratory and supplies used in formulation development and maintain adequate inventory.
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in a scientific field.
  • Ability to follow instructions from senior scientists and read SOPs.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills - written and verbal; fluent in English.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is essential.
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds.
  • Demonstrate self-motivation with a can-do attitude.
