About The Position

Requirements

• Currently working on completion of a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field
• Candidates must be available to work full-time beginning on June 9, 2025 - August 14, 2025, in Shelton, CT
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical skills and ability to synthesize and parse data
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow
• Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Financial Reporting: Help in preparing and analysing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports, to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Data Entry and Financial Analysis: Input and maintain financial data in spreadsheets and financial software, conducting basic analysis to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
• Budget Preparation Support: Assist in the preparation and monitoring of department budgets, tracking expenditures and ensuring adherence to financial plans.
• Reconciliation of Accounts: Support the reconciliation of bank statements, credit card transactions, and accounts payable/receivable to ensure accurate financial records.
• Conduct Market Research: Perform research on market trends, competitor financials, and industry benchmarks to provide insights for strategic financial decisions.
• Assist with Audit and Compliance Activities: Support the finance team during internal and external audits, ensuring the availability of relevant documents and compliance with financial regulations and corporate policies.
