About The Position
As a Summer 2025 Intern - UX/UI Designer at Stryker, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in a fast-paced and innovative environment within the medical technology sector. This internship is designed for students who are eager to apply their classroom knowledge in a real-world setting while contributing to the development of user-centered products that enhance patient outcomes. You will work closely with various technology-focused teams, leveraging your expertise to influence long-range goals and contribute ideas from early product concepts through to launch. Your role will involve generating creative solutions that enhance the user experience with Stryker's products, ensuring that the design and functionality meet the high standards expected in the healthcare industry. In this position, you will be responsible for defining, designing, and documenting all user-experience related aspects of the product user interface. This includes developing user interface designs, screen layouts, navigation, and user notifications. You will advocate for the end user by collaborating with industrial design, human factors, marketing, clinical, and engineering teams to implement and test designed interfaces. While collaboration is key, you will also have opportunities to work independently, documenting and troubleshooting to ensure that deliverables meet and exceed expectations. This internship not only allows you to develop your skills but also provides a platform to network with key stakeholders and leaders within the organization, making a significant impact on the development and manufacturing of cutting-edge medical products.
