About The Position
As a UX/UI Design intern at Stryker, you will have the opportunity to apply your classroom knowledge in a fast-paced and growing industry setting. This internship is designed for students who are eager to implement new ideas, be constantly challenged, and develop their skills in a collaborative environment. You will work closely with key stakeholders and leaders within the business, gaining valuable networking experience while being part of an innovative team and culture. In this role, you will be responsible for developing user-centered products that help caregivers enhance patient experiences. Your expertise in defining a meaningful user experience is crucial to Stryker's mission of making healthcare better. You will collaborate with various technology-focused teams, influencing long-range goals and generating creative solutions that enhance the user experience of our products. This includes defining, designing, and documenting all user-experience related aspects of the product user interface, such as screen layout, navigation, user notifications, alerts, and icons. You will advocate for the end user by partnering closely with industrial design, human factors, marketing, clinical, and engineering teams to implement and test designed interfaces. While collaboration is key, you will also have opportunities to work independently, ensuring that deliverables meet and exceed Stryker's high standards. This internship is targeted at students majoring in UX/UI Design, Computer Science, Graphic Design, or Industrial Design, and is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a leading medical technology company.
