About The Position
As a Summer 2025 Intern in the R&D department focusing on Beauty and Personal Care, you will be an integral part of a product development team dedicated to preparing and testing new ingredients tailored for the beauty and personal care market. This internship offers a unique opportunity to engage with various business functions, including marketing and analytical teams, providing a well-rounded experience in product development. You will be responsible for preparing naturally-derived materials at a lab scale, characterizing these materials, and evaluating their performance for personal care applications. Your role will also involve summarizing lab data and drawing conclusions through data analysis, which is crucial for the development of innovative products in this sector. In addition to your technical responsibilities, you will be expected to adhere to lab safety protocols and maintain a detailed lab notebook documenting your experiments and findings. This position is designed for current PhD students in relevant fields such as Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, or Cosmetic Science, ensuring that you are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to contribute effectively to the team. The internship will last for 10-12 weeks, requiring a commitment of 40 hours per week, and will take place between May and August. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and innovative environment, while also contributing to the development of sustainable solutions in the beauty and personal care industry.
