About The Position

The Group Host Person provides exceptional guest service while serving as the welcoming face of group and special events hosted on property. This position supports successful event execution by maintaining accurate guest counts, assisting guests with inquiries, and ensuring a smooth and friendly arrival experience. Essential Job Functions: Greet and welcome guests with a pleasant and professional demeanor, creating a positive first impression. Effectively communicate with guests to answer inquiries related to the property, amenities, attractions, and services. Manage guest lists and check-in procedures efficiently, ensuring accuracy and adherence to group instructions. Keep an accurate count of guests in each party using a handheld clicker, and provide final guest counts to both the banquet manager and group sales representative. Provide information and guidance to guests regarding facilities, services, and local points of interest. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk or welcome station. Demonstrate a positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills while interacting with guests and team members. Collaborate and communicate effectively with other departments and supervisors to ensure event success. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • 1+ years of experience in marketing, hospitality, or related experience preferred
  • Previous customer service experience in a guest-facing role preferred
  • Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions presented in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to work effectively with peers, staff members, and regulatory personnel
  • Ability to work a flexible and irregular schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays
  • Must be able to work in a smoke filled casino environment
  • Must be able to pass Title 31Training
  • Must be able to pass a background check and receive a license or permit from any Regulatory Agency if applicable to perform the essential job functions
  • Must be able to complete a pre-employment drug test with a negative result
