Food expeditors lead the facilitation of food orders between the suites and the kitchen. Making sure that food is cooked in the right order, quickly, and presented to the guests efficiently. They ensure food orders are properly labeled and have the right accompaniments to go along with the dishes. The role oversees all runners and works directly with the lead chef to ensure meals are executed and delivered to proper suites. The food expeditor acts as the main lead and contact to all pantry coordinators, ensuring the event timeline is met while overseeing hot pushes and cold pushes. They are responsible for assigning food runners to specific tasks and must follow Wage and Hour regulations. A pleasant attitude towards co-workers and management is essential, along with excellent customer service skills.
