About The Position

The Kane County Cougars are seeking a motivated and skilled Food and Beverage Suite Cooks to join our culinary team. This role is responsible for preparing and cooking food items for suite-level guests, ensuring high-quality service and adherence to food safety standards during events. The Suite Cook will work closely with other kitchen staff to deliver an exceptional dining experience in our premium suites.

Requirements

  • Candidates must be at least 16 years of age.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods; bending, reaching, and lifting; must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate the team's event schedule.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a cooking or food preparation role is preferred but not required. Training will be provided for candidates with a strong interest in culinary arts.
  • Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and food safety practices.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of food items according to standardized recipes and guest preferences, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • up and stock workstations with necessary supplies and equipment before events.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cooking area throughout the shift.
  • Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper handling, storage, and labeling of food items.
  • Ensure compliance with HACCP standards.
  • Work closely with suite attendants, servers, and other kitchen staff to coordinate food preparation and delivery, ensuring timely service to suite guests.
  • Monitor inventory levels of food and supplies, reporting any shortages or discrepancies to the supervisor.
  • Assist in the ordering and receiving of food and supplies as required.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and responsibly.
  • Other duties as assigned.
